My mom was the one who provided the encouragement for math. Although she could not actually help with the homework, she supported me by suggesting getting help after school or during lunch.

My parents always encouraged me to do well in school, but it had been so long since either one of them had taken school courses that they were not much help. they did what they could, but in all honesty, it was my siblings who helped me the most to understand math and science.

My mom helped me as she was the only one in my family that would understand math.

"When I was younger I would do simple math problems with both my parents. As I got older the material got harder and it was difficult fo them to help. I was typically ask my younger brother to help me with some of the problems. He's really smart and he'd be learning the same math."
