Believe It! is a brief career development intervention for young
women. This interactive multimedia program helps middle school girls
examine the consequences of several restrictive beliefs about their
future and offers alternative perspectives on career choice. The
original edition, developed by Theresa Kovalski and John J. Horan in
1996, was the first interactive-multimedia, psychological-education
intervention ever offered on the Internet. The current edition, with
revisions by Brian Nelson, Brian Moore, and Robert Atkinson,
incorporates enhanced graphics and better attention to principles of
instructional design. The audio scripts, however, remain essentially
intact.
